How UXDX got me to focus on product thinking

Linkedin. I’m quite picky when it comes to seminar talks. Finding the sweet spot between too generic and too specific is challenging.

The UXDX conference has typically featured several talks that manage to strike this balance, and I’ve always taken home something useful.

I’m happy to report that my HR department has granted me permission to attend the event this week, so see you in Dublin if you happen to be around!

I also seem to attach some personal meaning to UXDX. It was there that I presented the first version of my product thinking presentation, which I’ve been iterating ever since.

(The latest version was presented at Professio Product Owner Day this fall, and I’d be happy to tailor it to your company as well.)

Looking back, I would even say that the conference helped me realize that to have a real influence, you shouldn’t focus solely on design but broaden your perspective to include products as a whole.

Another thing I learned is that you should empty your pockets before you get on the stage.
