A short FAQ:

❓Is there drama involved here?

No drama, sorry. The past 2.5 years with Newil&Bau have been dynamic, to say the least. I started in the all-time high market and after one month, the war started, causing the worst turmoil in the industry since the 90’s.

❓How did it turn out?

We needed to change our course radically and adapt to the new situation. I’m happy I did not give up but devised another plan and led the execution to where we are now.

❓What did you accomplish, then?

Together with our team we did several things: built a new tech foundation for our digital platform, designed a new customer journey and implemented the first phases of that, designed and deployed a resident app, created a concept for our upcoming smart home, set up a CRM and built a set of data integrations and automations around that, set up a way of systematically gathering customer insight and designed the next generation of our Design home + Services concept accordingly.

❓What did you learn?

I’ve never seen leadership this systematic in other organizations. The way the strategy was adjusted as needed and implemented in everyday actions through systematic target setting is something I will take with me.

Another more hands-on domain is the sea of data, analytics, CRMs, contracts and digital marketing and integrating systems together which I had never done before but figured out as needed.

❓How will N&B cope with this?

This will go well. My successor has been recruited and is a great match for the company and its next phases. I’m happy we get to do a proper knowledge transfer, so nothing important is lost.

❓Any last words?
